In the early 1950s, Hans Tolstrup began writing his memoir. At the age of 70, he had plenty of spare time as he had become a widower and he had retired as a farmer.
At first, the memoir was handwritten. In the 1970s, it was typewritten, and in the early 2000s it was digitized and put on the Internet.
Finally, in 2014, it became evident that an English version might be to some interest for the descendants of Hans’ American cousins.
Thus, two English versions are available to our American relatives: A pdf version and an iBooks version which can be read using the iBooks application on an Apple computer or the iBooks app on an iPad.
An interactive map is included in the iBooks version. Pdf readers can utilize the map here.
